EMERGE serves youth in inner-city communities between the ages of 11-18+. Our mission is to develop and produce future leaders of marginalized communities.
EmpowerMENt
A certified mentoring program developed by EMERGE that cultivates and promotes diversity, inclusion, and cultural literacy development among Black and Brown youth ages 11-18+.

Services
RapNerd Ciphers
We mentor foster youth, using Hip Hop to guide academic and personal growth. Our education units and programs are called “Ciphers” because Hip Hop artists use this tool to communicate, exchange ideas, and sharpen their skills.
Communication Growth
Our mentors target and develop critical reading and writing skills through literacy building.
Financial Literacy
Youth discover how to build a secure and stable financial house that lasts for generations.
College Readiness
Our guided workshops improve how students apply to college, set goals, and obtain success.
Professional Growth
We offer articles, teaching strategies, and other resources to improve mentorship.
Mental Health & Wellness Instruction
Receive strategies for building connections in their academic and personal lives.
Leadership Training
Our youth improve confidence and communication through servitude leadership practice.
Intellectual Justice Institute
Provides a professional development pathway where faculty can learn to build equity skills and capacity in their courses.
Institutional Consulting
Identify and address structural equity gaps and develop strategies to achieve equity
